Designed with the working guide in mind, the Freestone Guide has quickly become our most popular model. The Guide incorporates an enormous amount of dry storage in a very stable, yet highly maneuverable hull design. Two large dry compartments flank the Wood and Rope rowing seat. A third dry storage compartment is located in the forward pedestal. Level floors, steam-bent oak kneelocks both fore and aft, and the 180 degree forward cockpit are standard in the Freestone Guide models. Sawyer Counter-Balanced oars, a spare breakdown oar, Straight Line anchor system, and drink holders are included. The Guide features our full kevlar and honeycomb bottom. The chines are further reinforced with Biaxial fiberglass, both on the inside and the outside. The exterior finish on the bottoms is 1/4" of high-density polyurethane for abrasion resistance. The interior finish is a Bristol finish with non-skid Speedliner on the floors.
15' Freestone Guide – Weight: 300lbs. Beam at chine: 55". Beam at oarlocks: 75".
16' Freestone Guide – Weight: 325lbs. Beam at chine: 48". Beam at oarlocks: 68". The Freestone Guide is also available as a kit. To see the full list of included items and options, please view the chart at the bottom of this page. |
