The Freestone Skiff is a great boat for experienced fishermen and oarsmen who prefer the utility of a low-sided boat and seated casting. The wide bottom and flattened rocker provide an incredible amount of surface area, so the boat drafts very little water even when fully loaded. The Skiff features fore and aft dry pedestals, full length rod storage, our high-backed Wood and Rope guide seat mounted on and open hoop assembly, and 10' side decks. Sawyer oars, a third breakdown oar, and our Straight Line anchor system are included. The Skiff features our full kevlar and honeycomb bottom. The chines are
further reinforced with Biaxial fiberglass, both on the inside and the
outside. The exterior finish on the bottoms is 1/4" of high-density
polyurethane for abrasion resistance. The interior finish is a Bristol
finish with non-skid Speedliner on the floors. 15' Freestone Skiff –
Weight: 225lbs. Beam at chine: 53". Beam at oarlocks: 75". 16' Recurve Skiff – Weight: 250lbs. Beam at chine: 55". Beam at oarlocks: 78". The Freestone Skiff is also available as a kit.
