The Kodiak is the result of countless hours, both on the water and in the shop. The idea was to design a boat that will perform well under power in both rivers and lakes, and yet still be able to be rowed down river to fish. The Kodiak is a Steelhead fisherman's dream come true. Powered by a 40hp four stroke Yamaha Jet outboard, the boat will cruise upriver approaching 20mph. (A two stroke motor will increase the speed because of the weight reduction.) Once you arrive at the drift fishing area, simply swivel the seats around, tilt the motor up, and row just like a normal drift boat.

Standard features in the Kodiak include forward pedestal with swivel seat and dry storage, high-backed Wood and Rope guide seat with adjustable foot brace, rear bench with two-position rear swivel seat, full length rod storage, and two large dry storage compartments located beside the guide seat, Sawyer Counter-Balance oars, a third breakdown oar, and double-cammed Straight Line anchor system.

The Kodiak features our full kevlar and honeycomb bottom. The chines are further reinforced with Biaxial fiberglass, both on the inside and the outside. The transom is reinforced with multiple layers of carbon fiber. The exterior finish on the bottoms is 1/4" of high-density polyurethane for abrasion resistance. The interior finish is a Bristol finish with non-skid Speedliner on the floors.

The 15' Kodiak can be fitted with uo to a 40hp outboard. We have used Yamaha engines in the past and recommend them. However, we will be happy to use other brands as well. Because of the increased weight of the engine, we strongly recommend our HD Galvanized trailer option with the boat.
