Plans: The Freestone Classic is a traditionally styled drift boat that that is a great introductory model for the home-based builder. Freestone Classic plans come with up to 60 pages of step-by-step instructions. Included in the plans are a detailed materials list, recommended tools, and a Montana Boatbuilders-endorsed list of suppliers of high-quality marine goods.
Kits: For those who would like the satisfaction of building their own boat, but would like to streamline the process, we offer the Freestone Classic Kit. The kit features the same detailed instruction manual as our Plans offering, plus all wood, fiberglass, epoxy, and hardware. The Freestone Classic Kit features CNC cut scarf joints in the side and bottom panels, and CNC cut scarf joints in the gunnels. All the other pieces are cut to length, shaped, and labeled. Two wood oars, bronze oarlocks and bushings, stainless bow eye, and seat rope are included in the Kit. The epoxy and fiberglass will be shipped directly from System Three Resins and includes fiberglass cloth, fiberglass tape, Silvertip resin and hardener, mixing cup and sticks, latex gloves, squeegees, and the System Three Epoxy Manual.
